Aroua Mannai is a doctoral researcher at the Ecole Nationale d'Ingenieurs de Tunis. Her doctoral supervisor is longlasting partner Dr. Emna Mejri. She will visit the Department of Hydromechanics and Modelling of Hydrosystems (LH2) from 1 to 15 March 2024.
In the past, Aroua has visited the LH2 several times for longer research stays as part of the expired project "Environmental applications of evaporative salt precipitation in porous media (EVASAL)". The project has been funded by the DAAD program "Deutsch-Arabische Transformationspartnerschaften".
Aroua's research is focusing on salt crystallization, porous construction materials, modelling, drying evaporation, free flow, coupling and poro-mechanics. During her stay in Stuttgart, she will hold scientific discussions with Rainer Helmig and other members of the LH2.
