SFB 1313 Status Seminar 2023

The status seminar takes place once a year. It serves as a platform to promote SFB 1313 and to bring together the internal and external participants. These meetings give an opportunity to exchange ideas and transfer know-how. The fourth status seminar of SFB 1313 will take place from 27th March to 29th March 2023 in Gültstein (Herrenberg), Germany.

SFB Status Seminar, Gültstein (Herrenberg), Germany, 27th to 29th March 2023

The annual Status Seminar of SFB 1313 offers a platform for established scientists and for doctoral and postdoctoral researchers in the field of porous media. The meeting is designed to promote exchange of ideas and transfer of know-how.

We invite all our members, associated members and international partners to join us 2023 again in presence in Gültstein, Herrenberg.

  • There is no registration fee.
  • SFB 1313 is prepared to cover the local expenses (accommodation for two nights in the Tagungszentrum Gültstein and the costs for food and non-alcoholic drinks) from Monday, 27th March to Wednesday, 29th March 2023.
  • Travel expenses cannot be reimbursed.

By public transport:

From Stuttgart by S-Bahn no. 1 (metro) to Herrenberg, then take the train R 73 to Gültstein. Information about Stuttgart's public transit association (VVS) is available here.

On foot from Gültstein to the conference centre: After leaving the train in Gültstein, keep right and walk along Wilhelm-Nagel-Straße until you reach Schlossstraße. Turn right up Schlossstraße, cross the railway line and turn left after about 20 metres into Erholungsheimstraße. Walk on to the entrance Tor 3. This takes about ten minutes.

By car from Stuttgart/Singen on the A81:

Exit Herrenberg/Tübingen (exit 28). Keep on the B 28 towards Herrenberg. Do not take the first exit to Gültstein-Industriegebiet, but the second to Gültstein. After entering the village, turn right into Erholungsheimstraße and drive on until Tor 3 on the right.

We have plenty of parking spaces free of charge!

The Status Seminar will start on Monday, 27th March 2022 at 8:30am and finish on Wednesday, 29th March 2022 at 13.00pm. For all doctoral researchers the workshop will continue until approx. 5 p.m. that day with the additional doctoral workshop in preparation of the summer school 2023.

Each project of SFB 1313 is expected to present one talk and all doctoral researchers (full and associated members) are expected to additionally bring a poster. All international partners are welcome to present a talk or bring a poster (please indicate that in the form below).

Registration is open until Friday, 10th February 2023. Upon registration you will receive a confirmation via e-mail. If you do not receive this confirmation, it is possible that a mandatory field was not filled out. In this case please repeat the process.

For all international guests: You have the possibility to already arrive on Sunday evening if you want to attend the seminar starting Monday morning. Please be aware that we can only cover the costs for two nights (Monday-Wednesday). If you plan to arrive already on Sunday evening, please indicate that in the form below. Please be aware that there will be no dinner offered on Sunday evening.
