SFB 1313 Status Seminar 2019

The status seminar takes place once a year. It serves as a platform to promote SFB 1313 and to bring together the internal and external participants. These meetings give an opportunity to exchange ideas and transfer know-how. The first status seminar of SFB 1313 will take place from 20th March to 22nd March 2019 in Blaubeuren, Germany.

Organisation

The Status Seminar 2019 is jointly organised with the IRTG-IMPM Doctoral Workshop 2019, which takes place on 19th March 2019  at the same place. Participants of the Doctoral Workshop may also register for the Status Seminar.

The IRTG-IMPM Doctoral Workshop is organised by Beatrix Becker.

The SFB 1313 Status Seminar is organised by Katharina Heck and Stefanie Siegert.

Information about the SFB 1313 Status Seminar

The annual Status Seminar of SFB 1313 offers a platform for established scientists and for doctoral and postdoctoral researchers in the field of porous media. The meeting is designed to promote exchange of ideas and transfer of know-how.

Stuttgart members and associated international members of SFB 1313 are invited to attend the Status Seminar.

  • There is no registration fee.
  • SFB 1313 is prepared to cover the local expenses (accommodation for two nights in the Tagungszentrum Blaubeuren and the costs for food and non-alcoholic drinks) from Wednesday, 20th March to Friday, 22nd March 2019.
  • Travel expenses cannot be reimbursed.

a) By public transport from Stuttgart (the one-way trip will take you between 1.5 and 2 hours)

Take a train from Stuttgart Central Station (Hauptbahnhof) to Ulm Central Station. In Ulm there are regular regional trains leaving for Blaubeuren. The train ride takes about 15 minutes.

b) By car from Stuttgart (distance from university campus in Vaihingen: 77,1 km (ca. 1 hour 15  minutes)):

Take the Autobahn A8, direction Munich. Take exit no. 57 „Kirchheim unter Teck-Ost“. Turn left after the first light (B465 direction „Lenningen“). Follow the K1250, L1212 and the Pfulbstraße untill you reach the B465 in Lenningen. From there follow the B28 until Blaubeuren. The car ride takes approx. 1h 15min.

The Status Seminar will start on Wednesday, 20th March 2019 at 9:00am and finish on Friday, 22nd March 2019 at 12.30pm. Every participant is invited to give a presentation and/or to present a poster.
