Christoph Lohrmann, SFB 1313 doctoral researcher at the Institute for Computational Physics (ICP) (research project C01), will give his milestone presentation "Modelling biofilm initiation and growth in porous media" on 25 October 2021 at 11:30 am CET.

Date: Monday, 25 October 2021
Time: 11:30 am CET
Title: "Modelling biofilm initiation and growth in porous media"
Place: online presentation >>> If you are interested in participating in the lecture, please contact simon.emmert@iws.uni-stuttgart.de

Abstract

Bacteria live and proliferate in porous media with complex flow environments. This talk outlines the development of an agent based model for microorganisms that includes realistic motility patterns, cell growth and division and the coupling to lattice Boltzmann flow fields.
