InterPore Course "PORE 2-4 Capillarity in porous media at different scales" by Majid Hassanizadeh

The InterPore Academy offers the following porous media course: “PORE 2-4 Capillarity in porous media at different scales.”

The course will take place online on Mondays and Thursdays from October 3 - 24, 2024 (4 to 6 pm CET) with our SFB 1313 external partner and Mercator Fellow Majid Hassanizadeh.

In this course, a systematic approach is taken to the understanding of capillarity in porous media on different scales. Current definitions of capillary pressure, which have mainly an empirical character, are revisited and it is shown that they are special cases of a more general theory of capillarity.

Please note that all lectures will be offered live. Participants are expected to attend all lectures in order to be granted certificates of attendance.
