First SFB 1313 Publication

AIP Physics of Fluids has published the first SFB 1313 paper with the title "Flow turbulence topology in regular porous media: From macroscopic to microscopic scale with direct numerical simulation" by the researchers Xu Chu, Bernhard Weigand and Visakh Vaikuntanathan.

The paper is about the DNS of turbulent flow in porous media which provides a better understanding of the macroscopic turbulence statistics by revealing the corresponding microscopic pore-level signatures.

Xu Chu, Bernhard Weigand and Visakh Vaikuntanathan are researchers at the Institute of Aerospace Thermodynamics of the University of Stuttgart and are involved in the SFB 1313 research.
