Christian Rohde coordinates new DFG Priority Program

April 19, 2022 /

Congratulations to our SFB 1313 principal investigator Prof. Christian Rohde for being the coordinator of the new priority program “Hyperbolic conservation laws in fluid mechanics: complexity, scales, randomness (CoScaRa)”, funded by the DFG

Prof. Christian Rohde (Institute of Applied Analysis and Numerical Simulation), principal investigator within SFB 1313 (research projects B03, C02 and project MGK), is the initiator and coordinator of the new DFG Priority Program (SPP) entitled “Hyperbolic conservation laws in fluid mechanics: complexity, scales, randomness (CoScaRa)". Scientists from the University of Mainz and the University of Leipzig, the TU Darmstadt and the RWTH Aachen are also involved. Congratulations!

The DFG priority program CoScaRa focuses on the mathematical substantiation of hypotheses in the field of fluid mechanics and on the development of a new generation of numerical simulation tools. Researchers from the fields of mathematics, fluid mechanics and theoretical physics want to jointly tackle completely new approaches to hyperbolic systems of equations.
