On Tag der Wissenschaft, SFB 1313 exhibition invited kids and adults to get to know the world of porous media and to experiment with them.
Above all, the microscope table, where different porous media could be observed more closely - for example a sponge, an onion, a coffee filter, a leaf of a plant or even sand - was very popular and well frequented.
Also the cuvette experiment with its different underground layers was very interesting for everyone. There the seepage of water under different circumstances could be vividly explained.
At the end of the exhibition, it was possible to test one’s knowledge during a quiz. An exhibition that wasn’t only fun for children.
