December 21, 2020 /

Our SFB 1313 doctoral researchers Cynthia Michalkowski and Elissa Eggenweiler both gave DFG 2020 statements, explaining why for them research matters.

Our doctoral researchers Cynthia Michalkowski (research project A-X4) and Elissa Eggenweiler (research project A03) partcipated in the campaign "DFG 2020 – Because Research Matters". They both made statements about why for them research matters.

About the campaign “Because Reseach matters!”

The German Research Foundation (DFG) wants to convey its conviction for free and knowledge-based research to society. Because we can manage global challenges such as climate change, digitalization or demographic developments only by deciding all together for the knowledge, for research and science. Like the DFG as a self-governing organization of German science, the campaign can only be effective with the commitment of its members and many individuals. The online campaign gives everyone a stage for text, image and video statements. Everyone should feel encouraged to name reasons #fortheKnowledge and why #researchmatters.
