Review: SFB 1313 Status Seminar 2026

March 19, 2026

Around 100 SFB 1313 members and guests engaged in the SFB 1313 Status Seminar 2026, held from March 9 to 11 at the Tagungszentrum Gültstein / Herrenberg.

The SFB 1313 status seminar 2026 took place from March 9 to 11 in Gültstein, Germany. With a turnout exceeding around 100 members, associated members, and guests, the seminar served as a platform for presenting and discussing various projects centered around porous media topics.

SFB 1313 spokesperson Holger Steeb opened the status seinar 2026 and gave an overview about the three-day program. This year, the project area leaders presented each project area A, B, C, and D and summarized the work realised in funding oeriod 2, but especially after the SFB 1313 review, that took place in July 2025. The central projects INF, Z02 (PML), and WiKo (science communication) were presented as well. New project leaders presented themselves and their future work within SFB 1313 and invited guest talks broadend our horizon and gave a practical porous media perspective.

Poster sessions provided opportunities for in-depth discussions around all of the project areas.

In addition, we organised an "exhibitor booth" with an interactive format to present the SFB 1313 structure and research as well as SFB 1313 merchandise. The feedback of our members gave us the opportunity for a test run of the booth. This year, for first time, this exact booth was presented during the GAMM conference from 16 to 20 March 2026 that took place in Stuttgart. A second opportunity to present the booth will be during the InterPore Annual Meeting in Nantes (France) from 19 to 22 May 2026.
