The new issue of "Forschung Leben", the magazine of the University of Stuttgart, is out with the topic "Responsibility". SFB 1313 participated with the topic of "Transparente Modelle für gesellschaftlichen Gewinn" (Transparent models for social gain).

The University of Stuttgart released the new issue (no 15) of its magazine Forschung Leben. The new issue is all about "Responsibility".

Dirk Scheer from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and SFB 1313’s principal investigators Prof. Holger Class (research project C04) and Prof. Bernd Flemisch (research project D03), explain in the article "Transparente Modelle für gesellschaftlichen Gewinn" how models and simulations can contribute to the decision-making process in politics and thus the gain for the society. The basis of their article ist their joint book "Subsurface Environmental Modelling Between Science and Policy", published in autumn 2020.
