SFB 1313 doctoral researcher Benjamin Bursik (research project A01) participated in the 33rd European Symposium on Applied Thermodynamics 2024 that took place in Edinburgh from 9 to 12 June 2024. He and his team won the Helmut Knapp poster award for their scientific poster “Dynamic Contact Angles from Hydrodynamic Density Functional Theory” (Authors: Benjamin Bursik (A01), Rolf Stierle, Hamza Oukili (A02/INF), Martin Schneider (A02/INF) and Joachim Gross (A01)). Congratulations!
About the Award
The Helmut Knapp Poster Award aims to support young talents and is awarded to the best poster presentation of a young researcher. It is dedicated to the founder of ESAT Helmut Knapp, who initiated the first ESAT in 1974. To be nominated, one must be a PhD student and attend the conference. Only one person per research group can be nominated. This year the three prizes (£ 300 each) are kindly sponsored by CCP5++ Collaborative.
