Arndt Wagner from the Institute of Applied Mechanics (CE) and principal investigator of SFB 1313 research project B02 successfully completed his habilitation, which was a joint procedure of the Stuttgart Center for Simulation Science (SC SimTech) and the Faculty 2 of the University of Stuttgart. He defended his habilitation thesis with the title “Continuum Mechanics of Multicomponent Materials – Modelling, Numerics and Applications for Biological Materials in the Framework of the Theory of Porous Media” in June 2021 and gave his inaugural lecture “Continuum mechanics meets porous materials: What is that good for?” in November 2021.
